While depending on the Purpose of your visit, we find that there are 12 categories of Russian Visa Types. In spite of this variety, we will find that more than 3/4 of the issued Visas are going to fall under Business and Tourist Visas.

It is worth noting that all types of Visas are limited in accordance with Russian Legislation. This means that they will permit the holder to stay in Russia for not more than Ninety Days as per the period of 180 days. Exceptions are in the case of Work and Study-related Visas only. They are going to be extended respectively on the basis of the Duration of the Contract of the Employment or the period of Study in Russia.

Exceptions usually happen on the Emergency Treatment of the Foreign Citizen, Serious Illness, or in case of death of a close relative living in Russia.
