What is electronic Russia Visa (Russia e-Visa)

It’s worth noting that most of the Foreign Citizens, who may wish to enjoy a stay, or rather staying in Russian Federation, are obliged to apply for a Visa to Russia.This Travel Document is usually a Requirement and is dependent on factors such as; your Nationality, the Purpose of your Stay, and the Duration of your Stay.

Tourists who, in any way, intend to visit Russia for a stay, which is Short Termed may now apply for Russia Visa. Reason being that it is a much faster and more Practical Way of getting Russian Travel Authorization than the Traditional Russia Tourist Visa.

E-Visas will definitely allow Visitors from across the Globe to do their application for Russian Visas solely online in a matter of seconds. Documents that are required, such as; Online Application Form, Passport Copies, and other Relevant Documents for Visa will have to be submitted Online.

According to the current situation, e-Visas are available for Russian Specific Regions. They include; Kaliningrad, St Petersburg, and Far East. In that case, it is no longer mandatory to present your Supporting Documentation at a Russian Embassy or Consulate.

What is Russia Visa Types

While depending on the Purpose of your visit, we find that there are 12 categories of Russian Visa Types. In spite of this variety, we will find that more than 3/4 of the issued Visas are going to fall under Business and Tourist Visas.

It is worth noting that all types of Visas are limited in accordance with Russian Legislation. This means that they will permit the holder to stay in Russia for not more than Ninety Days as per the period of 180 days. Exceptions are in the case of Work and Study-related Visas only. They are going to be extended respectively on the basis of the Duration of the Contract of the Employment or the period of Study in Russia.

Exceptions usually happen on the Emergency Treatment of the Foreign Citizen, Serious Illness, or in case of death of a close relative living in Russia.
